International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans Hosts Conference

Employed in education for more than two decades, John R. Nofsinger, PhD serves as a Professor of Finance and Seward Endowed Chair in Finance at the University of Alaska Anchorage. John R. Nofsinger, PhD regularly speaks at conferences and other events. He was a featured speaker at the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans, where his speech covered the Rational Decision Making: An Overview of Behavioral Finance.

A non-profit organization, the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans began in 1963. Its mission is to provide the employee benefits community with information, research, and educational opportunities. Since its inception, the organization has grown to include 33,000 members scattered across the United States and Canada.

Each year, the organization sponsors its Employee Benefits Conference, with the 2017 event scheduled for October 22 through 25 at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, Nevada. The annual gathering attracts approximately 5,000 industry professionals, and these attendees listen to keynote speakers, share their knowledge with peers, and learn how to improve their benefit plans. Those in attendance can also earn continuing professional educational credit.
